Your first scan

Scanning an account asks every source in Settings > Signals > Sources for anything new about it, and turns what it finds into triggers: dated, typed records such as funding, hiring, a leadership change or a product launch, each with a short description, a link to where it came from, and an urgency, fit and revenue score.

Your first scan costs nothing

If onboarding discovery found matching companies while you were confirming your ideal customer profile, scanning up to ten of them is free and does not touch your trial credits. Scanning an account again, including one of those same ten, is charged as usual.

Scanning by hand

Open any account and use Scan Now on its AI Scanning card. A scan of one account costs about 20 credits at the default settings; turning on extra signal sources adds a little more. Aptiro will not scan an account again within the minimum interval your organisation has set, and will not raise a trigger that duplicates one already raised for the same source within the deduplication window, so running a scan again rarely produces a flood of repeats.

Every attempt, successful or not, is logged on the account: whether it found anything, how many triggers it created, and why it failed if it did. If your organisation has Slack or email alerts switched on for new or high-scoring triggers, nothing further is needed to be notified. See set up Slack and email notifications.

After the scan

A new trigger lifts an account's readiness score (see understanding ICP fit and readiness scores) and can push it onto the ranked lists on your dashboard. From there, working it is the same as working any account: log an activity, start a sequence, or mark the trigger actioned once you have followed up. See manage accounts, contacts and deals and work your Today list and sequences.
